City of Arvada Is Rewriting Land Development Code
Arvada’s Community Development program has begun the process of rewriting the Land Development Code (LDC). The LDC regulates land use, growth, and development over 5-year periods. This is the same city staff that recommended approval of the $6 million Olde Town parcel that was sold to a Texas developer for $30. So they should definitely be watched closely.
A rewritten LDC will have a major impact on affordable housing issues and through proposed rezoning, could have a major impact on our precious open spaces.
The first public meeting on the LDC was held June 7 and involved preliminary strategy and framework. Several APA members attended. Click HERE to download relevant documents and to learn how to make comments and take surveys.
Upcoming council meetings on the LDC are scheduled for November 29, 2018, 6 – 8 P
This final meetings is the most critical, so please try to attend or at least provide comments!
