Affordable Housing in Arvada and Jefferson County is needed for all residents (seniors, workforce including working families, those with disabilities).

The income gap between the wealthiest Americans and the rest of us has been increasing over the years, and we are striving for more equity. Increasing the stock of affordable housing is a key issue to preventing house-poor families and homelessness in our communities.

Our action group meets with the City of Arvada to discuss options for increasing affordable housing, and we encourage them to work with other partners (e.g. AURA), We are also working together on a Housing Resource Fair, scheduled for September 29, to educate low-middle income Arvada residents about existing programs to help them with housing needs.

We will continue to work with the city of Arvada and the state legislature to increase affordable housing in Arvada.
