Taxes have been drastically reduced for the wealthy but not the middle class and the poor who pay sales tax. Bankruptcy has been made easier for the wealthy but more difficult for the rest of us. Pharmaceutical companies are allowed to gouge consumers on drugs they need to survive. Even sales tax revenue is used to subsidize new stores owned by the wealthy while small businesses have to pay their own way. Economic policy treats wages which are the basis of our way of life as a cost to be minimized and profits of large corporations as the parameter to be maximized. Imagine what life would be like if we could reduce this vast flow of wealth from the modest income people who create it to the wealthy who accumulate it.

We will contact our politicians and demand that they support economic policies that prioritize wages and people over profits.
