"The future is already here -- it's just not very evenly distributed." -William Gibson

The world is unacceptably unequal and dangerous. Emerging technologies could make things dramatically better or worse. Technology could exacerbate inequality and catastrophic risks in the coming decades or, if democratized and well-regulated, ensure longer, healthier and more enabled lives for growing numbers of people and a stronger and more secure civilization. The clearest current challenges are exemplified by the ongoing debate over the control and utilization of Digital Media technologies. Three major digital technologies currently driving the debate today are: 1) Net Neutrality, 2) Digital Ownership, and 3) Privacy Rights. These can be the three major topics initially addressed by Technology Action Group.
