APA Meeting: Learn About APA Action Teams and Mobilize

APA is a local organization that runs on volunteer energy. We need all hands on deck! We have many new members but even if you are an old member we want to get you plugged in. During this meeting each action team (Healthcare, Education, Climate, Immigration, Affordable Housing, Anti-War, Political Action) will have a table and an opportunity to learn more and find ways to plug into that team. It will be a speed dating style where a timer will go off every 20 mins (3 times) to alert people to switch tables or stay at the same table if they so desire.
If there is a topic that you are passionate about and don’t see an action team that aligns with that passion, please consider leading a new action team with our support!
Team leads will go over:
- Team lead intro
- Name your fears/concerns
- Name your strengths/passions
- Team leads give ideas on how to get involved
- Interested parties give ideas on how they would like to be involved
There will be NO zoom recording of this meeting. This meeting will be IN-PERSON ONLY in the meeting room at the First United Church of Arvada. There will be FOOD and DRINKS and time to socialize, network, and make connections as well.
