Healthcare for People, Not Profiteers

Colorado is a leader in the struggle to provide quality affordable Healthcare to all. Learn about the work being done and bills in the Colorado Legislature and how you can help. This program features two strong leaders in this effort.

Speakers:

Former State Senator Jeanne Nicholson is a long-time activist for Medicare for All and is building the Coalition for Common Sense Healthcare.

Representative Andrew Boesenecker is the main sponsor of a 2023 bill that will assess the costs and benefits and ways to finance a Colorado universal healthcare system based on 10 Health Care essentials. This bill is the logical next step to build on the 2021 Healthcare savings report.  In short, this report confirmed that a publicly financed and privately delivered nonprofit healthcare finance system will save $billions and cover everybody in CO while increasing overall employment. 

There will be time for questions.

Also, the results of the APA Survey will be shared.
