Earth Day Clean-Up: Ralston Creek Trail at Ralston-Central Park
May 6 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm MDT
Join us for a family-friendly Earth Day park clean-up and community gathering!
The Alta Vista Neighborhood (supported by the APA Environment Team) has signed up through the City of Arvada Adopt-a-Trail Program as a volunteer clean-up crew with responsibility for the Route #4 portion of the Ralston Creek Trail: Hoskinson/Ralston Central, from Garrison to Carr.
We are planning our first pick up of the Ralston Creek Trail (and the park and the stream bed) on Earth Day, Saturday, May 6th starting at 10 AM.
We would love to have neighbors and folks who use that park come and help. Following the clean-up at 12:00pm we plan on having a community (bring your own food/drink) picnic! With activities for kids and playtime at the playground!
What: Community gathering to pick up trash around the park, trail and creek bed.
Where: Ralston-Central Park, 5850 Garrison St, Arvada, CO 80004
When: May 6th
Volunteer set up: 9:30am
Clean up: 10:00am – 12:00pm
Community (Bring your own) picnic and family-friendly activities: 12:00pm – 1:00pm
What to bring: Bring closed-toe shoes, gloves, and a BYO picnic lunch. Bring waders or hip boots if you don’t mind getting into the stream itself.
We will provide: Trash bags, drinking water, hand sanitizer, and fun!
We hope to see everybody there! We will pick up rain or shine but if it is a blizzard, maybe we won’t stay for a picnic…
