A climate action plan for Jeffco
April 6 @ 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm MDT
Climate continues to be a pressing issue for Coloradans, especially our youth. The decisions being made now will impact the future of our climate. The State of Colorado, Jefferson County, and municipalities across the district have adopted plans to reduce their carbon footprint. Jeffco has the second largest school district in the state, and our speakers in this month’s meeting will lay out the case for the call to action for Jeffco Public Schools to prioritize measures to protect the planet for the kids they serve and future generations. They will also go over current state-wide and county-level climate actions that are in progress.
Join us on Saturday, April 6th at 4:00pm to hear from local climate action speakers discussing the need for Jeffco Public Schools to adopt a climate action plan and what that plan would include and mean for the school district.
Meeting speakers:
Sara Kuntzler, from Jeffco Students & Parents for Climate Action (JSPCA)
Kevin Morse, the Chair of the Jefferson County Sustainability Commission
Emma Ragona, the Front Range/Jefferson County Field Organizer for Conservation
