Candidate for Jeffco School Board, District 4

I am Erin Kenworthy, running for the District 4 seat on the Jefferson County School Board.  I’m a third-generation educator, a mom, and a progressive voice in support of public education for all of our students in Jefferson County.  I have two students in Jeffco classrooms and this is my third year on our elementary school accountability committee, and my second year on the district accountability committee as a representative for the Bear Creek High School articulation area.  

Our community has always worked hard to seat board members who support equitable public education. I look forward to having your support in my effort to join the team that will help us navigate the path ahead for our students and schools. Public Education is vital to the health of our community.  Our leaders must continue to be intentional with the resources at our disposal to leverage educational excellence and opportunity for every student we serve.

Currently I serve as the Director of Religious Exploration at a Unitarian Universalist congregation in Denver.  In this position, I continue to support children, youth, and families with a variety of lived experiences and identities.  I believe in the inherent worth and dignity of every human being, am a fierce advocate for children and youth, and that all people deserve a voice in our democratic society. I am grateful everyday that my personal values and my professional talents align.
