APA Meeting: It’s our world, shape it or someone else will.
APA Meeting: It’s your world, shape it or someone else will.
Over the past year, we have had successes and areas where we could do more. During this meeting, we want to hear from you!
As a community group, we could not function without the ideas and volunteer hours of community members like you. Time for you to voice your new big (or little) ideas or tell us what we have done in the past that you like to see more of. Be prepared to volunteer and put in the work (with the support of APA) for your new ideas.
Come to the meeting prepared to give your thoughts (verbally or on paper) on how to improve Arvada/Colorado’s; environment, health, education, inclusion, and livelihoods.
Here are a few questions to help you jump-start your thoughts about APA 2026:
- What would you like APA to work on and/or what would you like to learn from APA in the next year?
- How would YOU like to participate with APA more fully?
- Are there action teams or advocacy topics missing from APA that you would want to engage in?
- Does the current APA format/structure work for you? If not, what would be better?
We will capture everyone’s thoughts and prioritize them. This will be an interactive meeting with a chance for everyone to speak. If you prefer to not speak, you can voice your thoughts via a note card.

When: Saturday, January 3rd – 4:00-5:30pm
Karen Breslin (US Senate candidate) and Amanda Gonzales (Colorado Secretary of State Candidate) will be at the meeting in person to introduce themselves and meet/talk to APA members at the end of the meeting.
APA has not yet endorsed any candidates running in 2026.
