RECAP: APA Health Care Meeting – A Brighter Future for Healthcare with CO Rep Amy Paschal

On Saturday, December 7, members of Arvadans for Progressive Action Healthcare Team and Colorado Foundation for Universal Healthcare met with CO State Representative Amy Paschal. All participants shared their experiences with our broken healthcare system. Virginia and Cathy explained what a single-payer system would look like and shared a 2021 CO comparison study report that found single-payer would save $3 billion in Colorado by reducing fraud, waste, complexity, and abuse. Then Dr. Lelieth, a constituent of Rep Paschal, mentioned how military service families would benefit from a publicly financed, privately delivered system for all. The ask for Rep Paschal was to sponsor the revised Analysis of Healthcare Payment System bill to be re-introduced in the 2025 legislative session.
